Lauren Stiles

About the Speaker

Lauren Stiles is the President and co-founder of Dysautonomia International, a non-profit that advocates on behalf of patients with autonomic nervous system disorders.


She is also a Research Assistant Professor of Neurology at Stony Brook University School of Medicine, where she conducts research on POTS, EDS, and related disorders. Lauren developed POTS overnight at age 31 after a severe concussion while working as an attorney in New York.


She has organized several large POTS research studies and is currently focused on identifying differences and similarities between POTS patients with and without EDS for more tailored treatment approaches. Lauren is committed to integrating patients into the research process to ensure it reflects the needs of the patient community.
